MIXING IT UP
We will work to make teams consisting of different/mixing players skate to skate so that you're not playing with the same players every week. Mixing it up often will help keep emotions, and grudges out of our skates and games, as well as keep one team from dominating our games. We will make on ice trades if necessary to keep it fun and competitive for everyone. Mixing up the teams and players often, getting to play with all our members will lead to new friendships and connections and fun.
We will try to match lines up with players of equal ability. So changing both lines at the same time will avoid lopsided matchups. All of us should know what to do by now!
LOTS OF SHIFTS
Players are expected to change often. This shouldn't be a problem at our age! When we can change often our skates will be much better and at a good pace. Five minute shifts just result in standing around on ice, slowing the pace of the game and pissing people off who are on the bench waiting to get out! Lots of shifts is the way to go!
